Since its formation in 2004, Community 1st Oldham has delivered the most significant investment programme in primary care and community facilities across the borough in recent years.

The ongoing efficient management of these flexible community facilities will be a critical part of meeting the NHS Health and Social Care reforms and efficiency savings.

The pressure will be on the NHS and it’s commissioners to reduce expenditure and at the same time improve standards within its existing infrastructure resources.

Over the next two years, the transitional phase is a critical time for local PCT’s to ensure the existing estate is ‘fit for purpose’ and ‘transition ready’ before responsibility transfers to the new commissioners.

Rather than look for alternative modes of estate rationalisation and management, Community 1st Oldham is a local procurement cleared delivery vehicle which already brings the best of the public and private sector skills together to deliver the solutions to help our partners manage these challenges.
